Today my UPS start to burn inside without any problem. At the moment it was in idle mode (not connected to 230, or not connect anything to the UPS ) and suddenly I heard about a burning sound with a smell. All the nuts tide up to the UPS and no time to screw it. So I broke it and remove the battery power. Then I saw that burn start from a Logic level FP50N60 – Mosfet . It has 4 mosfet’s.
UPS are really dangers ..
My battery also got damage. What my feeling is, damage happens because of that mosfet and thats the area that controlling the charging unit. So my batter also got over charged and damaged :(.
